FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT TYPE OF MURDER MYSTERY PARTY IS THIS / WHAT SETS YOUR PARTIES APART?
All of our stories are original and handwritten by the owner, Chelsea. Our parties always have one killer but there are 1-3 murder victims, depending on the party size to keep it interesting and to keep everyone involved.
We also embrace a more flexible party style. Most of our parties are not scripted (unless they are over Zoom). We personally find that giving your guests enough info about their character really allows them to play their role however they'd like to. While it's easy to incorporate a sit-down dinner, these parties are best played with mixing, mingling, and plenty of laughter.
DOES THE HOST NEED TO KNOW WHO THE MURDERER IS?
No, the host does not need to know who the murderer is. Each party is written in a way where you only find out who the murderer is at the very end, in the "Conclusion/Reveal" Section. If the host wants to, they can simply choose not to read ahead and be surprised like everyone else!
The Host will also get their own character, truly allowing them to enjoy the evening.
HOW DO I KNOW WHICH PACKAGE TO CHOOSE FOR MY AMOUNT OF GUESTS?
Our stories utilize Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Characters. Primary Characters are essential to the storyline, they may be the Murderer, one of the Victims, or included in crucial pieces of evidence. Secondary Characters still have fun individual roles to play but they are nonessential to the story, so if they can't make it, it's okay! Tertiary Characters are the same as Secondary for the most part, they just depend on a Secondary Character being in attendance already.
Our stories include a mix of Primary and Secondary in order to cover a range of guests. For example, our 10-20 parties will have 10 Primary and 10 Secondary Characters so that you can have as little as 10 people and as many as 20!
HOW LONG DO THE PARTIES RUN?
Included with your party, you'll find a "Suggested Timeline". Generally, parties take between 1.5-2 hours to run depending on the complexity of the story and amount of murders but, honestly, it can be pretty flexible!
You can feel free to space out the murders or compress them into a shorter time frame if that works better for you. The flexibility in the timeline also allows for you to add in some things of your own if you'd like to, like a dinner or a dance!
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PDF AND THE BOX KIT?
The PDFs are ready to be downloaded stories. Upon purchase, you will receive an immediate download where you can then print and organize everything right from your home!
If you'd prefer something that has already been printed and organized for you, try a Box Kit! With a Box Kit, we print, assemble, and organize everything for you into a ready-to-play kit. The only difference between the two is that we print one, where you would print the other at home.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR ZOOM PARTIES AND THE REGULAR PARTIES?
The Zoom parties are specifically designed to be playable across any video platform! They differ from the standard parties in a few ways:
1. Each Character will have their own Character Folder (digital), that you can email to your guests directly.
2. Each guest will get a Flip-Through Packet that they can easily follow along with as the host guides the evening.
3. Each round has scripted questions for your guests. This way, it is less hectic to control things via a video platform.
CUSTOM AND PERSONALIZED ORDERS
Due to our current workload, we are unable to accept customized orders. We do have seven unique themes and 40 different variations of those themes and we're happy to answer any questions about which party might be the best party for you!
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Due to the nature of the PDFs, we are unable to accept returns on those items.
